OCR Level 5 Certificate in Teaching Learners with SpLD( Dyslexia) OCR Level 7 Certificate/ Diploma in Assessing and Teaching Learners with SpLD( Dyslexia)

The recently published Rose report, which looked at Identifying and Teaching Children and Young People with Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties (Published 22 June 2009), recommended that the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DSCF) should fund a number of teachers to undertake appropriately accredited specialist training in teaching children with Dyslexia-SpLD.
Dittas SpLD Training is hoping to offer funded places for teachers working within the state system from Spring 2010.
Courses offered will include the OCR Level 5 Certificate in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia and the OCR Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with SpLD. These courses offer BDA accreditation at ATS or AMBDA level.

Full cost places are also available for FE teachers, Teaching Assistants and other professionals interested in working with individuals with Specific Learning Difficulty; prices are available on request.

OCR Level 5 Certificate in Teaching Learners with SpLD( Dyslexia)

OCR LEVEL 5 Certificate in Teaching Students with SPLD will be offered through two modes of study:

Tuesday evening class 17.45-20:30, 30 weeks starting February 2010 . This course will be held in Bromley, Kent.

Holiday Intensive 3 weeks intensive study May Half Term and Summer Break 2010 . This course will be held in Central London

OCR Level 7 Certificate and Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with SpLD(Dyslexia)

OCR Level 7 Certificate and Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with SpLD will be offered as an evening course starting September 2010, for those already holding the OCR Level 5. Candidates who do not hold a Level 5 SpLD qualification will need to satrt in February or May. This course will be held in Bromley, Kent.

OCR Level 7 Top Up ( Units 6 and 7) Certificate conversion to Diploma

OCR Level 7 Top Up ( Units 6 and 7) Certificate conversion to Diploma will be offered as blended learning and candidates can enrol on this at any time. This course is only open to candidates who already hold the OCR Level 7 Certificate in Teaching and Assessing Learners with SpLD.
